Make your own fun tube hand puppets - many characters are possible! Decorate with colored tissue paper, toy eyes, fur and more.

Little Red…..You Know Who!

 

 

Taking a well-known traditional story, this spell-binding play follows a magical path through the woods. Freehand Theatre creates a memorable and reassuring journey with its delightful use of puppetry, colour and specially composed music. Listen to the song of the red box, watch a forest grow before your very eyes and find out how an endearing bear gets in on the action!

Yorkshire based Freehand Theatre was founded in 1981 by Lizzie Allen and Simon Hatfield. They have received a British Theatre Association Award for design, and even performed at the Royal Festival Hall as part of an opera conducted by Simon Rattle .

Christopher Somerville (Mr. Bimbamboozle) is North Wales' best loved and most experienced children's entertainer and has been associated for many years with the Harlequin puppet theatre.

The show starts and ends with magic which involves a great deal of audience participation.

The puppet performance is full of hilarity and excitement as Mr. Punch gets up to his usual naughtiness, is frightened by the crocodile, and is finally apprehended, with the help of the children, by Mr. Policeman and is escorted from the scene.

“The Best of Obraztsov” is dedicated to  Sergei Obraztsov, the internationally famous puppeteer, director, founder and leader of the Moscow State Academic Puppet Theatre . The performance includes scenes from the most popular of Obraztsov’s shows: “An extraordinary concert”, “Aladdin and the magic lamp”, “Don Juan” and “At the pike’s behest” which have become classics of world theatre.
Abounding in humour and fantasy the show, with a company of ten, will delight both children and adults and allow them to experience something of the art of arguably the greatest puppet master of the 20th century.

Or will he have to go home with nothing? All the elements are present in this colourful classic story as the audience is taken on this exciting adventure! Audience participation throughout.
